It is also worth noting that Haydn himself composed his famous “Paris Symphonies” for the orchestra that Saint-Georges organized. Having thrown himself into the Revolution as a soldier in his later years, Saint-Georges left behind a small body of work, which is why his compositions radiate such precious brilliance. Takako Nishizaki’s violin once again sheds new light on this genius who led such a dramatic life.
