Description:
Alessandrini leads us through the dramatic and lush Monteverdi Alessandrini's latest recording of Monteverdi is now available. Alessandrini has recorded Madrigale Volumes 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 8, as well as Orfeo and other important works. He has a special attachment to Monteverdi. Here, too, he captures Monteverdi's dramatic style, in which the music itself tells the story of the text, and his performance is very lilting in the best sense of the word. The singers' expressive vocal abilities are overwhelming, and at the same time, the delicate and exquisite singing of the instrumental ensemble is superbly balanced. King International
